Diane Abapo is the Director of Content at GOAT and Editor-in-chief at GREATEST, a bi-annual print publication published by GOAT. With over 10 years of experience in brand storytelling, Diane has led Content Strategy in Editorial, Brand Partnerships, Social Media and Entertainment Influencer Marketing in the digital, print, video and event activation space.

In 2017, she led the curation and management of 16 events held over a span of 3 months at GOAT’s pop-up gallery in LA exploring the influence of global sneaker culture with fireside chats with notable names including Jason Markk, Roy Choi and “The Shoe Surgeon.” That same year, Diane produced, photographed and launched GOAT Group’s publication, GREATEST, with cover star Jerry Lorenzo.

In 2018, she managed GOAT’s milestone brand moments including GOAT x All-Star Weekend with James Harden and HYPEFEST at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Also supporting Flight Club’s initiatives, she helped launch its retail expansion in Miami, which culminated in a special Flight Club Miami x Art Basel event in partnership with New York Sunshine in December. Nike would partner with GOAT for an installation showcasing the rarest Air Force 1s at the Force by GOAT Gallery event in LA.

In 2019, GREATEST would head to Amsterdam for its fourth issue with its first international cover star, Lexie Liu. Diane would also be involved in the launch of GOAT in China in the summer of 2019 as well as its partnership with Bergdorf Goodman shortly after during NYFW in the fall. For Flight Club, she would introduce a new franchise content and performance series, “Flight Club Fridays” with free in-store performances from names like Doja Cat (FCMIA), Smino (FCLA) and Flipp Dinero (FCNY).

Last year, Diane had the privilege of working with Michael B. Jordan’s team for a special GOAT x MBJ benefit raffle campaign for GirlTrek, raising over $500,000 for the nonprofit organization. She also organized a fun GOAT x Shabbaaaa All-Star Weekend music event this past February at Ace Hotel Chicago, which coincided with Flight Club Chicago’s pop-up where talent discussed sneakers on-display paying homage to MJ and the Windy City for its “Friends & Family” content franchise including appearances by Teyana Taylor, Sue Bird and Nate Robinson

Prior to GOAT, Diane was a freelance photographer in LA who captured the behind-the-scenes workings of boutique owners and shop associates on Fairfax Avenue, all with burgeoning independent projects at the time, who now sit at the helm of being streetwear’s pioneers. By capturing Fairfax over the years from 2011 to 2016, Diane cultivated a community of friends in the music, fashion, design and art space and managed her own independent publication at the time, SUSPEND Magazine.

Outside of creative and experiential Brand Marketing, Diane enjoys freelance illustration, printed matter, jazz, classic cars and LEGO.
